Counselling and psychotherapy can be beneficial if you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, stuck, or struggling with difficult life experiences. There isn't one ‘type’ of person who goes for therapy. If you are feeling stuck or troubled by something, talking it through and developing self-understanding and skills to help can benefit you with your current circumstances and in the future.

Some people choose to have just a short series of sessions whereas others choose to engage in therapy for a long period of time to continue to develop their understanding of themselves. In our initial consultation we can discuss what might be right for you, and when we begin work together we will have regular reviews.
-
Our first therapy session, like all our sessions, will last 50 minutes. We will begin to get to know each other and build on what we discussed in the consultation call. I will talk you through our counselling agreement and ensure you are aware of confidentiality and how I work.
-
Each session is £55 and lasts 50 minutes. Sessions are payable by bank transfer in advance of the session.
-
My initial consultation call will always be with the person who is thinking of coming for therapy themselves.
-
Working ethically is hugely important for me, and so if I feel that I am not the best person for you to work with, I will refer you to a therapist who I believe can best support you.
-
Lots of people can find it difficult to know where to get started when they come for therapy. We will go at a pace that feels right for you, and as you begin to feel more comfortable it is likely that the words will start to come more freely. It isn't about always finding the right words, but working together to develop understanding over time.
